Programming on 7700//5810 kHz will commence at 16:52 UTC/ 18:52 CEST.
Last July conditions were a bit disappointing, we hope for the better next Sunday evening.
In contrast with previous years, we will pay much attention to our anniversary with lots of
memories, archive recordings and...great music.

Special Event Station Radio Space

Special Event Station Radio Space will be on air in the 49 m-band on 6070 kHz on Saturday, September 07, 2019 between 12.00 and 14.00 UTC.

Radio Space was in the early 80s a popular Free Radio Station on FM in the region ‘Westhoek’ in Belgium. The station finished forced the broadcast in November 1984.

This year they are having a reunion from the same location in Hoogstade, in the Western part of Belgium, with a 3 day broadcast on FM 94.9 MHz for the region, but also a 2 hour broadcast for Europe on 6070 kHz.

During these 2 hours you will hear the program “The European Top 40 of the 80s”. Admits, more European is not possible via this short wave frequency!

Reception reports are very welcome and are 100% answered with a special Radio Space E-QSL card!

Tomorrow repeat July 28th broadcast

Dear FRS Friends,

On July 31st we sent out a mail informing about a possible repeat of our July 28th broadcast.
That repeat was planned for last Sunday but: a faulty 5810 transmitter made us decide to
wait another week hoping the rig would be repaired in time.
The current situation is that it's most likely the rig will be repaired for tomorrow. However...most likely is nót 100%!

Anyway, the repeat will take place tomorrow Sunday August 11th. The time schedule will be the same as
it was two weeks ago: 16:52- 20:55 UTC/ 18:52- 22:55 CEST. Frequencies: either 7700 only or (hopefully!) 7700//5810 kHz.
We are eager to hear from you either via frs@frsholland.nl  or of course P.O.Box 2702, 6049 ZG Herten, The Netherlands.

In three weeks time- Sunday September 1st- FRS-Holland hopes to celebrate its 39th anniversary.
That will also be a Sunday evening broadcast. Details will follow in the final August week.

Atlantic 2000 special broadcast : Radio Andorra, 80 years

Radio Andorra was a legendary radio station, transmitting on mediumwave and shortwave from 1939 to 1981, from the Principality of Andorra, a small country between France and Spain. The station was officially launched the 7th of August 1939.

To celebrate the 80 years of this launch, Atlantic 2000 will transmit a special tribute programme on Saturday, August 10th, from 08:00 to 09:00 UTC on 6070 kHz and online.
From 09:00 to 11:00 UTC, online only, we will repeat the tribute to Radio Andorra that we transmitted in 2009, for the 70th anniversary of Radio Andorra.

Atlantic 2000 will be on the air again on Sunday 11th of August from 19:00 to 20:00 UTC with music and dedications, on 6070 kHz and online.

FRS Holland Repeat Broadcast Sunday 04/08/19

Dear FRS Friend,

Last Sunday's FRS broadcast suffered from instable propagation conditions.
Some might have enjoyed good reception whereas others' reception was poor.
It is commonly known that SW conditions have been poor. Not only during daytime
but also sometimes during evening.
Last Sunday we were received in Cyprus and Mexico (not via SDR) while reception
in areas where 7700 is almost always satisfactory, was poor. Apart from the final 60 min.
when the first show (Bert van Leer) was repeated; that was between 23:00-23:50 CEST.
During that time 7700 was very strong and also 5810 did well.

There might be a repeat next Sunday August 4th or August 11th. At this  moment things
are uncertain. But it's worth while to tune in and give it a try! Same time schedule and same
freqs being 7700//5810 kHz. Details are still to be read on our site:
