Radio North Raided

Radio North Raided.6325 is taking a break for a few weeks( see comments) And 6205 is on now.

This Is Very Bad News. Radio North Has Been On 846 For More Years Than I Care To Remember. It Was A Well Run Professional Station That Caused Nobody Any Trouble.

Radio North has been taken off the air by Comreg, stemming from a post on this website https://web.archive.org/web/20260903192928/https://petersdxcorner.nl/ireland/qsl-radio-north-846-am/#comments
The posts were removed but thanks to the wayback machine it is there for all to see. Check the post by Asfalt Telegrafen, urging people to report unlicensed stations in Ireland, he even posted a direct link to the Comreg website. Dispicable.

His name is "Torleif Roos" and his callsign is "sm4yor "

The question is, who will he report next?
This operator is not welcome in free radio circles. He has broken the golden rule. Never rat on your fellow operators and always keep your mouth shut!
But he just stepped over the line.

His email is below. Why not drop him a line?

Thank you.

No problem Paul. It is sickening what has happened to 846. It will be missed. North and Star have been there so long. The MW band will not be the same without them. I know that Star was not raided, but its futue looks bleak.

if this Peter Reuderink contacts a free station asking for a qsl, I suggest NOT sending one or acknowledging him. A spoof DJ with peculiar tendencies using his name may be an idea

I am thinking of the many families in Donegal where loved ones earned their livelihoods working on Radio North. All taken away in a flash. Furthermore it would appear that Radio North coexisted peacefully for decades with the licensed operators in the area.

Radio North was beloved of the Irish nationalist and pro British people equally. It brought people together
